Summer Term Residentials

14th Aug 2024

A group of students took part in a 4-night residential at Red Ridge, Welshpool, Wales.

Students took part in a range of activities; including kayaking, canoeing, outdoor rock climbing, caving, high ropes, ziplining and artificial caving. It was the very first time that most of our students had taken-part in these activities. Students fostered their resilience, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving and communication skills.

Residentials offer opportunities for students to engage in structured activities and group interactions, enhancing their social skills and fostering meaningful connections with peers. Additionally, the diverse and inclusive nature of residential communities promotes acceptance and understanding, contributing to the development of empathy and respect for others.

“Rock climbing was my favourite but I am scared of heights. I faced my fears”
